I dunno, I think she might have sense like Teyla. You know, don't piss off the natives until necessary type smarts. Whereas the boys...you just can't take them anywhere.
I didn't like that bit either, but if it means Earth won't screw up a good theory (hey, they did do some awesome work in Season 1) then okay. Commanding Weir is a great thing to behold. It was brought up at the Con by the panel of goers (not the famous) that they're very inconsistant with writing the women on the show. I'd have to agree. Strong leader Weir would be good to explain why she's so important to the mission, you know?
