Continuing to be productive...

And on the second day, Skoosie created Neville's operative unit, and bestowed upon him a rat terrier named Sal.

He's got a very bit part, but I'm thinking I could bring him back later. Like The Owl.

*grins* and Sal.

Oh, Sal will be with him all the way back to France. Yappy little devil. Haven't decided if he's going to hate Colin-the-terrier or not.

No one is allowed to hate Colin in any form. Just saying. ;)

You're right. Colin is decidely unhateable in my eyes.

He's too cute to be hateable.

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2004-12-15 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
And offbeat and quirky. You can't help but smile at his antics.

Well, your Colin anyway. Mine wouldn't be as much fun I think.

I have to be in a certain mindset to write Colin correctly. I can't ever get into his head. I can only write him from another person's perspective.

I can't even do that. I reworked on story and later found out I couldn't put it up because it had be a Fic exchange. I had a triangle though Ginny wanted Hermione, Herm who was engaged to Ron, and Colin wanted Ginny (but stayed in the best friend role). The only time I've written him I think.

well, if he didn't turn out creepy, then you're sucessful. I dislike creepy creevey characterizations.

Me too. That's why he was the best friend. He was a good shoulder, a dependable one, even when his heart was shattering. Even had a "nice" Snape moment.

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2004-12-17 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
nice snape moment, eh? Isn't that a bit of an oxymoron. heh.

Yep. But was the shock factor. He wasn't "nice" so much as civil maybe. His observation bring that to light what she wants to hide.

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2004-12-17 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
all right. I can see him being civil. In certain situations.

This was also post war.

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2004-12-17 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooo, post war. Is he all broody and wise?

No, he was just observation, but inclined to speak to the littlest Weasley.

I have a fondness for disdainful, blunt Snape. Not mean, necessarily, or smug, but still... lofty, I suppose. I think.

Yes, that. He was rather...suprised by her bravery. Made a difference.
