Durh

I changed my header without saving any of my customizations first - TOTALLY BY ACCIDENT, I ALWAYS NORMALLY DO THAT! DUH! - and I lost ALL MY SIDEBAR PICTURES! I'm so upset, but I can't for the life of me remember how I did it!! Does anyone know? I can't even find the pages that I referenced to create them. I'm so dumb. LJ edits always give me a headache, damn it.

My first [livejournal.com profile] reel_band fic isn't ready to post.

My basement is still soaked.

My website is still not working.

I'm starving.

Were your sidebar picture just some of your currently loaded user icons?

If so, you should be able to right click on the icon to get the url link and then use the [a href= ] tag to put the link in whatever sidebar box they were before. At least that's what I did for mine.

I assume it would work just as easily if they were pictures uploaded to another site.

It'll take HTML in a sidebar box, though?

Several of the layouts will take html in a sidebar free text box, although I'm not sure if they all do. I use Smooth Sailing and it did.

(I remember spending some time trying to find out how to do it on the tutorial comms with no luck, then facepalmed when I tried plain html and it worked.)

Are you using an LJ layout, or do you code your layout from scratch?

I did mispeak earlier, though. I just checked my coding, and I used the regular embed picture html [img src="pic url"], not the [a href=] one. I don't know what I was thinking earlier.

Hmmmm, okay, thank you, I'm going to play around with that later and see if I can fix it!
