Something is picking off my congo tetras one by one. It's an established tank. I have no idea what's happening, but I've lost three fully mature congos in less than a week, and a fourth one just turned up a little beat this afternoon. And if you know congo tetras, they're big and gorgeous and just about my favorite fish in the tank, other than a school of clown loaches. I suspect my buenos aires tetras. They're the most aggressive fish in the tank, and even then... the sort of damage being done seems a lot more than those nippy fish. The congos' fins weren't even touched - it was all head and body - and the fins are the first part to shred when a fish is getting beaten up. So it's like this huge mystery. I just... I'm just so upset. I had those congos for about four years now.

On a somewhat lighter note, I've updated my fic recs page again. Three popslash and one Harry Potter. I highly recommend the HP one - H/D crack ficlet, and you know me and crack! Also, the popslash one, Ficcish, is just hysterical, and really isn't slash at all - slight references to a couple that isn't in it. So if slash ain't your bag, but you want to try out some boybanders, this is the fic to read.

I submitted Nudge to AT, but it isn't up yet. I'll let you know!

Annoying tagline reminder: January is the Month of Ron! Please send me your recs, endorsements, random fits of inspiration.

I'm sorry. I've had fish before. My dad loved angelfish. I liked upside down catfish.

I don't know if it'll die, but I think a belt is loose. It's smoking under the hood and making funny noises. My stepdaddy is coming over to look over it in a bit.

Your car is named after Arthurian Legend? You ROCK.

My Grand Am was Bonnie Bleu (after the girl in Gone With The Wind) and this one is Gimme, short for GimmeABreakAndWORK.

I don't know much beyond Monty Python, although. Did you see the latest arthur movie? So completely different. I enjoyed it, but really had no clue what was going on.

Nope, haven't seen it. I'm still debating within myself if I want. I love the legend so much, it might be hard, ya know? I'm much more a History Channel documentary girl.

Well, if you go in thinking of a separate story, you might be entertained. It was really cool fighting and stuff. but yeah, not at all like the legend.

See, I don't know if I can do that. I saw this thing on the History channel about the vasts differences. I just don't know if I can think of Guin being that way.

Makes you wonder how the legend fit into whatever history this film has, if any.

Wasn't there an arguement for it being true to history though?

Now I've got brave sir robin in my head from Monty Python.

Well, besides the fact, that most scholars are of the opinion Arthur wsa a composite of three separate kings, maybe.

I've never been a fan of Monty Python. Oops.

You're talkin' to the girl who was raised on the Blues Brothers, and thought Benny Hill was funny - why the heck did my parents let me watch that? Course, don't think I understood it at all.

Yes, BH was an old man who chased around girls. It's so not funny, but I remember laughing hysterically at it.

See, we watched stuff we weren't supposed to and we turned out just fine. I don't know what all the fuss is about monitoring tv shows now.

Sorry to hear about your fish hunny bun.

I had fish once... the big ones ate the littlest, very traumatising for a 10 year old. They all died shortly after that - must have been goldfish karma.

Also just had to add, YEA FOR MONTY PYTHON!!! I mean really, if you don't like it, there must be something wrong with you :P

Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot.
He was not afraid to die, O brave Sir Robin!
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin!

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp,
Or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken;
To have his kneecaps split, and his body burned away;
And his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Robin!

His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off
And his pen...
