It's almost posting time at reel_band and I am SO EXCITED to see what everyone's written! I'm not quite done my first prompt. I'm at about the 50 page mark. Yeah, I don't know what's been making me write these crazy long fics, but whatever.

I'm still waffling about Bob/Patrick or Spencer/Jon on the One Crazy Summer AU front. Any preference? On the one hand, I could have Bob, Frank and Ray go to the island for the summer, where they meet up with Ray's friends, the Way brothers, and Patrick's only got the clothes on his back and his guitar. On the other hand, I could have Spencer, Ryan and Brendon go to the island, where Ryan's friend Pete and his beffie Patrick are the wacky duo - Patrick stuck in a godzilla costume! It's all Pete's fault! - and Jon's the traveling musician trying to raise money to save his grandfather's house!

It was hard because I lovelovelove Brendon/Spencer, and the Panic! boys but. I really, really like the way (hahahaha *insertbadpun*) you write Gerard. Really, really. And I know, because you love me, that there'd bed a bit of Gee/Frank. Right? *puppy dog eyes*

Er, I actually need to go, like, wikipedia One Crazy Summer because uh. I am a ninties kid and fail at 80's movies. Except like, the ones like Princess Bride and Risky Business. Was Young Frankenstien 80's? I know Space Balls was. I think. Crap, I need to look that up.

It'll be my first time tackling my chem as main characters, though. I'm so nervous! What if I mess them up? I can't decide!!

I have faith in you! You made Frank eat chocolate chips out of the pancakes that Gerard was making- which, by the way, is an image I always call to mind when feeling particularly shitty, because it makes my heart go, 'awwwwwwwwwwwwww, boys <33333'- I have total and complete trust that they'll be perfect. Bob was perfect in the alternate ending! He's like, the hardest person to get a feel for, anyway, cause he's so quiet.

I suppose I do. Though, after reading your fic, I think it'll be ruined for me forever. I'll always be like, 'But you know, this movie would be so much better with Bob and Patrick.

But then how should I play Patrick against Bob? The dynamic will be the hard part, because I love them together, but it has to be the correct sort of Patrick to mesh with Bob. Like maybe he has to be kind of a smartass. I don't know!!!!!

I think he has to be at least that sneaky, quiet sort of smart ass, at the very least, to deal with Pete all the time. Ugh, you're right, it is kind of hard to mesh them.

Oh, well. Even if you don't use them, the Brendon/Spencer one will be, to borrow a term, awesomesauce. *g*

I think it'll have to be Spencer/Jon if I go the panic! route. Like Jon's the wandering musician looking for ways to make money. It's so tough to decide! I think Panic! is winning in the poll though.

Ugh, Spencer/Jon, I knew I should have checked that before commenting back. I was undecided on which one it was, and just went with the one you most frequently write. Anyway- still awesomesauce.

Dude! Did you see that video, of Panic performing Time To Dance, at like, Virgin Fest, where Brendon spots a beach ball on stage and like, stops in the middle of the song to say, 'Oh my god, beach ball!' and grabs it? If you haven't you should, because its so cute.
