Guess. That. Hottie!

Yes folks, it's time to play Guess That Hottie!

Clue:
He was a child star of the small and big screen.
Unhelpful Clue #1:
In the one TV show I watched him on, I always thought he looked like my younger cousin Anthony.
Unhelpful Clue #2:
I considered using him as my fanon!Blaise, however this seems to be the only picture ANYWHERE of him as an adult.

ETA: No guesses? Come on! Want another clue?
He is famous in certain sets for one particular role in a movie full of eye candy. And when he was slightly older, he was in a baseball themed movie. Any takers?

On a completely different note, I got a Barnes & Noble.com email about the new N'Sync Greatest Hits album!! I'm excited that the Nelly version of Girlfriend is on it *nods* And just excited in general. Although I would've been happier had it been a dual disc.

At the risk of looking generally stoopid....

Who??

would you like another clue? He is famous in certain sets for one particular role in a movie full of eye candy.

*blank faced stare*

I feel like all my years of National Enquirer reading has come to nothing. Woe. :D

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
*laughs* Well, [livejournal.com profile] lady_draherm guessed it correctly... It's Luke Edwards. He played Les in Newsies

[identity profile] alexia75.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Maybe he never made it across the pond because I have *no* idea who he is.

Ah well, I guess my Celeb Gossip Geek day has yet to come.... :D

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
Ooo, you've never seen Newsies? With Christian Bale? And dancing and singing boys?

Guh. One of my favortist movies ever.

[identity profile] alexia75.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
Christian Bale with dancing and singing boys... what more could you ask?

....they don't wear sparkly glitter jeans, do they? :D

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 11:23 am (UTC)(link)
No, but there's the occasionally long-john flash and newsboy caps! Seriously sweet movie *hugs it*

[identity profile] alexia75.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
Is this is another from the 80s kids' movie scene? I fell in love with The Goonies at a very early age, and except for a brief Flight of The Navigator fling, my love has remained pure and unsullied by time.

Should I try and get hold of a copy? :D

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 11:31 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, if you like musicals and boys, this movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104990/) is prime. You NEED to see it.

[identity profile] alexia75.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
Trey Parker is in it? As in THE Trey Parker?

That was the final straw - I HAVE to see this movie.

Ok, so just checked IMDB again and it isn't THE Trey Parker, but what the hell? I can pretend it is! :D

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-21 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. Yeah, when I first spotted that name I thought it was him, too, even though I couldn't picture him in the movie!

But still... it's a must see *nods*

[identity profile] eldee.livejournal.com 2005-10-19 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Even better would be if it was a NEW ALBUM!!

*sigh*

But, yes. I'm excited!

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-19 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
For some reason I thought it might've been when I first spotted the email... new nsync! But alas, I was merely dreaming. Or thinking wishfully.

[identity profile] edincoat.livejournal.com 2005-10-19 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm at a loss as to who this guy is.. But that might be valid surge of stupidity on my part, since I've only recently gotten into "Pop Culture" outside of music..

Wah.. I give. Who is it?

[identity profile] eldee.livejournal.com 2005-10-19 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
LUKE EDWARDS!!!!

I WIN AT LIFE!!

OH, NEWSIES!!!! THE WIZARD WITH MARIO PARTY 3!!!!! LITTLE BIG LEAGUE!!!

Admittedly, it was the baseball clue that got me, and then when I looked a bit harder, I TOTALLY SAW IT!

I watched Newsies a couple of months ago to revisit my pre-teeny crush on Spot Collins. Oh, spot.

Wow. That kid is looking all full of grown-up goodness.

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
YOU WIN!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOT! *does The Robot*

Dude, Newsies is one of my alltime fav movies... and I still have a crush on Spot. I have a video and DVD copy of the movie - I refused to get rid of my vid when I upgraded because it has this awesome Say No To Drugs commercial before the movie with all the Newsie boys in it :)

Les grew up prettay.

[identity profile] r-macduff.livejournal.com 2005-10-19 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
When you said "child star" I immediately thought of JC and Justin T, who were both on The Mickey Mouse Club (whatever happened to the innocence of Annette Funicello, people?!). Blame your obsession with sparkly boys for directing my thoughts immediately to N'Sync.

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
*laughs maniacally* Oh, I so rock. Truly.

[identity profile] smalldiver.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
*Feels inadequate* Um, Ihavenoideawhothatis...

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
[livejournal.com profile] lady_draherm guessed it! 'tis Luke Edwards - Les, from Newsies :)

[identity profile] gwynlen.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
mmkay, so I know its not him, but looks a lot like a young Antonio Bandares. Could be my lack of sleep though.

[identity profile] skoosiepants.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmmmm... it does kinda look like him... But really it's Luke Edwards, from Newsies :)
