they call me dr. worm

So I had off today for a doctor's appt. in which my blood pressure meds have to be upped - hurrah! - despite my halving my coffee intake. Well. At least maybe my gyno will put me back on the pill now. I haven't had my period in like five months, and that can't be good.
Anyway, you know how unproductive I get on days off! It like leeches my power. I did write some in my steno while waiting for the doc though - an hour this time! - so that's something.
For some reason I dug out all my old tapes. Remember those? Yeah. My 29th b-day's rapidly coming up, and I'm all nostalgia-like. I was a mix-taping fool back in HS. Wow, are they embarrassing. Want to take a peek?
The Tape known as PHAT ROAD (dudes, I know *shakes head*):
1. Today. Okay, not a bad song. Smashing Pumpkins aren't my usual cup of tea, but they had some good tunes.
2. Rock With You. Oh, oh! MJ *huggles the freak* okay, ew, but YAY for old MJ songs.
3. Free as a bird. Oh, wait. That's right. This is my "I just saw Dazed and Confused and it rocked" mixed tape. How embarrassing.
4. You Gave Your Love To Me. Hmmm... haven't listened to this in a while, but I'm pretty sure this is The Monkees. God, I love The Monkees. Shut up.
5. Funny Face. Allowed! Totally allowed! Angus is still my single favorite movie soundtrack. Seriously, it's so good.
6. Hello Little Girl. Okay, I'm skimming ahead and this is also apparently my Beatle's Anthology mix tape, which means this was made more towards my senior year. Possibly first year of college, because my roomie and I locked ourselves away for hours with Beatles tapes and movies.
7. J.A.R. I used to love Green Day. Still fond of their old stuff. This one is, yep, off the Angus soundtrack.
8. Disarm. Another nice Pumpkins' tune.
9. Imagine. Not so much into the Lennon solo stuff now, but his stuff's always great.
10. A Shot of Ryhtm & Blues. I forgot about this song!! Omg, I used to love this little Beatle's ditty.
11. Say it Ain't So. Weezer is still cool. I forgive myself.
12. When I Come Around. More evidence of my total crush on Trey.
13. Three Cool Cats. Another great Beatles' rarity. I'm not doing so bad.
14 Buddy Holly. The Sweater Song would've been more desirable in the realm of cool, but not bad.
15. The Smurfs. Oh, hell no.
16. The Love Boat. Just kill me now.
17. Besame Mucho. Ooooo, fun! Beatles. Can't go wrong with them.
18. Wonderwall. What was I thinking?
19. Whatever Gets You Through The Night. One of my favorite Lennon songs still.
- you know what I miss about mixed tapes? The ability to fit this many songs on one -
20. Christie Road. Funnily enough, I know this is Green Day, but can't remember how it goes.
21. Don't Look Back in Anger. Seriously, what's with the Oasis fixation?
22. Tuesday Morning. The really cool song Brownstone got off a stupid Blockbuster Movie Soundtrack CD, so I have no idea who sings it or where it's from and I can't find it anywhere.
23. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away. One of my favorite Beatles' songs. I also have an irrational love for the movie Help!
24. Black Gold. Er. Pretend you didn't see this one (omg still love it!)
25. Free Ride. See earlier note about Dazed and Confused.
26. Summer Breeze. D&C. Again.
27. Friends. So. I got this CD. And it's all really old cartoons from the 70s and 80s sung by real bands. So I think this one is from the Banana Bunch Gang, or something like that.
28. Jammin'. Bob Marley always rocks.
29. Ain't She Sweet. I can always get away with more Beatles.
Heh. That one wasn't so bad, but it totally tuckered me out. Maybe I'll do another one later.
