So, is everyone as unproductive as me? There seems to be a general lack of new stories up. Perhaps it's all the excitement for tomorrow night. SO EXCITED!

I had my girly doc appt today, so I was off from work and not much online. But! My blood pressure is down to 105/65. I'm amazed. I think it's the running every morning. It hasn't been below around 120/80 for over a year. Go me!

I tried to watch Catwoman this afternoon. I know. Why, right? Well, it was on HBO, and I thought 'eh, maybe it's not that bad,' and I made it through about 45 minutes of it just because I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on. My god. I mean, one of the many, many things wrong with it was... isn't catwoman supposed to be in gotham? I'm totally not up on my comic universe stuff, but I always thought she was part of the batman arc. Anyway. We turned it off when Judge Judy came on.

And: Maude gives cats a bad name. It's been established that she hardly ever cleans herself, and today? I was walking out onto the porch and didn't want her out there, so I shut the door behind me. Only normally she follows me right out as soon as she hears the door open, so she clonked right into the pane. I mean, it was hilarious, but poor Maude! She's one dumb little cat.

From what I can understand, the Catwoman in that movie is a different Catwoman with a similar (but really really lame) backstory and there is no Batman and...yeah. It was just...strange.

I made a lot of SGA icons for contests instead of fic. *grins* Sorry. I made five in the past two days, I think. Oh, and I did two of the awful sentences. OH! And I made my spiffy new icon, cause Rodney/Cadman my total OTP.

Go girly appointment.

Catwoman. Didn't even want to see it after they took her pretty much and trashed the character. It seemed more like a way to make Halle look pretty. I like Michelle Catwoman the best, I think.

Maude can't be as stupid as Noelle. Seriously. My cat just ain't right. She tries to attack the sheets. As in she's scared to go under there until she's attacking it...from under them. It's the funniest thing to watch. She also chases her tail, and wonders why she jumps after she bites it. She's....special.

In the interest of giving you someting to read because I wasn't here when you originally posted your request for long john/rodney angsty-but-ends-happy or just generally happy and because the authors posted again today contrary to your "nothing's doin'" statement and because other than you, these guys are my favorite authors, here is my rec for anything by like the river and koschka, but especially for the stuff they write together as likethekoschka. Their individual stuff is posted on fanfiction.net and their combined is on Wraithbait or their livejournal: Casa del Geeks and Goons. Most of the individual stuff is either gen or pre-slash, but all of the combined is established John/Rodney with lovely characterization, especially of Zelenka who has a horrible habit of making me snort at very inopportune moments. Like when i am trying to drink hot coffee. Terrible waste of perfectly good coffee, but lost in a good cause. So there, my tiny contribution to you in thanks for introducing me to SGA for which I am eternally greatful. (SGA even helped me decide which school to go to.)

Unspeakably, five-year-old about to have a breakdown at her huge birthday party excited.

I had the same thought when I saw Gigli on HBO last summer. and when we rented Troy.

I will occasionally never again doubt mass judgement on a movie. (unless it's Boondock Saints or Empire Records, in which case, everyone's WRONG.)

I am also in a funk as far as stories go. I have a partial fic done but can't think of how to end it. The rest are waiting long waits :)

Squee! 10 hours!

Dude, I heard Catwoman was BAD. Like, stinky cheese bad. My friend said something along the lines of, "The only way that film's EVER going to bearable is if you're either a) very very drunk so that story line etc is no longer an issue, or b) stoned."

At least you didn't watch Gigli, right?

Catwoman should only ever be watched with the mute button on.
But there was Peter Wingfield! Who seems to never age.
