This was the best "feel good" story I've read in a long time. There were so many good lines I couldn't quote them all. Maybe a little absurd, but it was all so explainable that it just seemed normal. Like, of course Rodney's pet collects pens, just like my cat collects furry mice. And everybody makes up their minds about John and Rodney's relationship, more than once, based on the flimsiest of circumstantial evidence. That Altantis is a closed society makes it so much easier to envision the dirty looks at Rodney. Your intense Rodney is great as is your laid-back John and eventhough there is no actual sex here, I still found it sexy as well as sweet. Very, very nice.
Oh, I probably should have told you "which" Rodney icon I loved: the one where he looks a little scruffy, with the longer hair. I think it was on your post. *sigh*
