my thoughts on the first 25 minutes of Sanctuary

* one high point: Detective Major Lorne!! hi!!

* that main dude, we didn't even bother to learn his name, is a combination of the poor man's Daniel Jackson and Shawn Spencer, with none of Shawn's flare. Also, he's dead boring.

* I'm no judge of accents, okay? I have no idea if Amanda Tapping's is good or not, but after over a decade of Sam Carter, it's just not working for me. I'm aware that this is an unfair view, but tough. I kind of like her hair, though.

* And then Halling showed up bald and also with an accent and killed a chick and J said, "this is like Fringe only really, really bad."

* what's with the defense of the little kid who KILLED TWO COPS? He's misunderstood, what? AMANDA YOU ARE A BETTER ACTRESS THAN THIS!

* And then we turned it off in favor of a DVR of the latest Ghost Whisperer.

* maybe if we'd kept it on we'd have ended up liking it? But the first half hour was SO BORING, omg, I didn't even care what was going on at all.

This is disappointing, because I'd been looking forward to this!
