I actually like a little well-written cheese once in a while, the fluffier the better. Who said that teenagers have to be believable all the time? Of Lust and Pie made me laugh my ass off and converted me to the silliness that is Hermione/Blaise (though not in canon, of course), and that's worth more to me than a thousand "O woe is me" angst-fests. I don't seek out slash now, but when I did I was never looking for a good cry. It's fandom, people. As the FIFF people say about LotR: "Fandom is fucking funny. So laugh already!"
