Dudes. I've got Newsies on the brain ever since finding that grown up pic of Les. I've been singing the songs around the house and generally driving J insane, and I really, really want to break out my DVD... I just haven't been home long enough this weekend to watch it.

I encourage all who've never seen it to go watch it, because guh. It has got to be one of my all-time fav movies, right up there with Better off Dead. Only maybe better, because you can sing along. I memorized all the words way back in '92, when I was an obsessed sophmore in high school. Can you imagine how cool I was back then? Dudes. So cool. I should scrounge up a school pic because wow. You cannot properly fathom the cool without pictures to illustrate.

Anywho, I've found SCREENCAPS!. There are so much fun :) And, of course, this means I've been busy with my paintshop... some simple icons follow. Mostly of Spot, because he's my favorite and he's also got a pimp cane! I think I'll go back and do some minor characters later. I'm not the best at this, but feel free to take, share, request certain newsies. Yay!

Dude. Dude. Duuuuuuuuuuude!

Can you please crop this pic into an icon for me? CURRENT CHRIS PIC!!!!! *SWOONS* Holy hell, he looks SO GOOD!! It was taken very, very recently. Like, last week recently. And he's so very hot. I thought you might appreciate it.

Is that Christian Bale! I'm putting this in my Netflix queue. (That is such a weird word.) Never seen it. I know, amazing movie whore that I am. You and I so could have hung out in highschool because, yes, my big, fat, red glasses would have upped your cool points to a billion. Yeah.

Anyway, you must read my "sonnet". It actually rhymes(!)but I need a couplet.

Totally need to see that movie again, it has been AGES. Like, ten years. It's unacceptable, really.

You know you have to capitalize on the Newsies love by writing some crackfic. You know you want to...:)

That's my favorite movie to break out when its raining. If you think singing along is bad, some friends and I memorized the King of New York dance sequence (complete with tables! no fan, though) during theatre one year. I think that upped your cool quotient right there ;)

I love Newsies! King of New York is my absolute favorite musical number of all time. Why is it that the whole world does not love this movie?

Dude, last weekend was totally Newsies for me. I watched it and Bugsy Malone off and on all weekend long. It was an awesome, spiritually cleansing experience.

Plus. Spot! *squeeee!*

I loved you before but you just became soooooooooo much awsome (that's so a word and you know it!) me and my best friend have been obsessed for ages, I'm sure we could give you a run for your money on who can remember the line more acuratly (not that I can spell acuratly or anthing...) Oh how this brings back memories of singing (slightly off tune) through the streets of Europe (oh yes we took the singing to Europe...there are no geeks out there as geeky as us..'cept maybe for you...!) And eventually we were mocked in Germany but that didn't stop us...oh no...and we are even more amusing when we sing it slightly intoxicated while wearing stilettos!
I was a Spot fan with a soft spot or Racetrack (so feel free to make an icon!)
Big Hugs!

You're so wonderful. Not only Newsies icons but Spot Conlin! icons. So excited you have no idea. I've seen Newsies so many times I can perform 99% of the movie for you. Spot has always been my favorite followed closely by, of course, Jack Kelly. I'm so pathetic I was going to name a son after him and a daughter Brooklyn because I loved the way Spot said it so much. Ok, getting way too fangirl here. *loves you*

Have absolutely no idea about this movie, but I can safely say that Christian Bale is FIT. In capitals.

Saw him in Batman Begins, but I think he looks better when he was younger. I just can't get over how very hot he looks.....

Newsies! ♥ One of my favorite movies of all time. Also, proof for my belief that I was a slasher before I knew what slash WAS.
