The art of distraction

I've been completely and totally distracted all week. It's freakin' annoying. I don't know whether I'm coming or going, my brain is muddled, my apartment looks like a tornado swept through it... I left my rabbit out ALL NIGHT last night. I ran out of proper fish food five days ago. I haven't eaten lunch all week. Roxy knocked over a cactus on Sunday and the dirt is still on the rug. My life is disgusting. What the fuck is wrong with me? I'm not even in a bad mood, so it's just... inexplicable. My mess.

Anywho, Don't Let's Start, Chapter Four is up on the AT.

I'm trying to write Nighthawk nine, which will be a bit of a Christmas interlude.

And I'm trying to think of a suitable Christmas-themed fic for the holidays. Probably a Ginny/Draco, like last year. But I haven't been smacked with any inspiration yet. Gonna be kinda hard to live up to Wayward Cupid though, 'cause that was freakin' nuts. (my new word is freakin. Heh.)

If I'm slow to respond to posts and my flisters' journals, it's 'cause my brain has turned to pudding. (Mmmm... pudding...)

Oooo, Neville/Luna! I love those two together. Still can't think of anything suitably christmasy to write.... bleh.

And I love Neville/Luna too. It's one of my favorite inner-House relationships. They're both out there, which seems to work best.

I was racking my brain all weekend for a plot bunny for those two... I think my problem is that I want something completely original, and I'm afraid I used up all my wacky plots. What else is left for those two?

Hmmm... how about a charmed snowman? For some reason that stuck in my head at church this morning, but I'm not sure what to do with it.

I read a charmed snowman in Harry/Ginny once, Ron/Hermione too. I think it's been done in other ships as well. Shoebox took mistletoe...

I'm not planning on making the 50,000. 25K is my goal. I'm not gonna be that optimistic. If I get 25k, I'll be thrilled. Last year I got 14k. Baby steps, baby steps.

And Origin of Storms? 17 chapters? About 75k. So 50k, you're looking at probably about 140-150 pages. Whew!

I was doing original, but now like thehush, I'm doing a collection of HP stories. Ones that were started but never finished. I started on my Pansy/Theo one again. *grins*

That's an excellent idea! Finish up all the defunct fics... I should do that. At some point.

Well, I had about 10, so I figured I could make them all at least about 8 pages each, and I'd be thrilled.

I still have more plotbunnies in my head I need to make them. Just in case.
