skoosiepants: (sga - rodney seriously?)

I was off at my best friend's little girl's third b-day party at a kiddie amusement park for the entire day. It was nice, in the way that I haven't really seen Nat and Brownstone and SheShe for a while, but it was long, in that I left the house at 8:30 in the morning and didn't get home until 6. And then I had to shower and head off to J's best friend, I's appartment for dinner. Which was fun, because I love R and I and we had fajitas, and really, there's not much better than fajitas. And R has two adorable cats, who look like Myrtle, only huge.

I also realized that going to another couple's appt for dinner is a very grown-up thing to do. We almost brought dessert. And wine. We didn't, but probably only because I was out all day. So yes, adulthood. A scary place to be. But then I look around my actually DISGUSTING house, and see that I still have no skillz. Can't cook, have trouble cleaning, short-cut everything. Seriously, I'm a prize. J must really love me.

Okay, and everyone should go write some interior designer!Ronon Dex, or maybe furniture maker!Ronon, because [livejournal.com profile] nunshavingfun, to me and J's eternal amusement, and my intense jealousy, ran into Jason Momoa by accident in Vancouver in an antiques store! Which is like the coolest thing ever, and now I'm picturing Ronon whittling a piece of wood or something. Ronon the whittler! DO IT!

And now a little about the 'gates. I haven't read many reviews, so I'm just going to ramble a bit. I loved the special for SG-1, because Gary just cracks me up. I'd love to just give him a big hug. And I love how everyone seemed to be having so much fun with each other. The 200th show itself was a lot of fun, too. The puppets!! And the Jack and Daniel at the altar moment! Okay, but did anyone see how the clip from the special about Vala-in-leather talking about being pregnant and winking at Cam wasn't in it? Or did I just totally blink and miss it? Because anything with Vala makes me extremely happy.

As for SGA, I wasn't really bored with the parts on fake-Earth, but I really, really missed Atlantis. But then, once they started with the Atlantis scenes, Sheppard really made me uncomfortable. It was almost cringe-worthy, his mechanical concern for Elizabeth. If it had been McKay in that tent-thingy, you know he would've had much more relaxed and worried facial expressions, because he was losing his best friend and love of his life!! But ships aside, Sheppard has no chemistry whatsoever with Elizabeth. Rodney has more chemistry with Elizabeth than John. Radek, too. Him holding her arm at the end was just... I had to look away. Other than that, though, I didn't think it was too bad. Nothing I'd want to rewatch, probably. And Rodney eagerly helping Carson was so cute and funny :) He's helpful! Carson wants him to go away! But Rodney knows what to do! It was almost like he was working exactly how he would with Radek, and Carson doesn't know how to deal with it. hee!

And for some reason, I can't remember either of the trailers for next week, so I hope they play them again before next friday.

You are going to FREAK about next week's SGA. Freak, my dear. Freak! *g*

And yes, there is no chemistry between Weir & Sheppard and I wish the frackin' writers would just accept that fact and quit trying to make with the cutesy. I'm still have spontaneous stomach spasms over her coquettish behavior with Sheppard in Misbegotten. Ick.

Dude, I just went and watched the trailer! Exciting! But does Sheppard get old??

Even the coquettish, though, was better than Shep's constipated facial expressions here.

So very true, I think the only thing he's good at with her is agression, which would be fine if they were still playing up the conflict angle. I really wish they had done a better job ripping off Buffy, I'm pretty sure I blacked out a couple of times during the ep.

But at least SG1 had puppets!

The puppets were hilarious *laughs* I love when SG-1 has fun :) Especially with Jack there! Though I'd never give up my Cam *g*

Oh, no, oh, man, I did what I claimed I wouldn't, and I wrote SGA fic (Sheppard/McKay) last week but didn't post it, because I never post anything, and obviously you're reading my mind because *Ronon has a decorating fetishy thing* in my story, and now I don't know what to do. *flail*

Oh. Hey. Maybe *Jason Momoa* is reading my mind.

Either way it's kind of weird.

Welcome to the hivemind that is this fandom. You can't resist it, so just lay back and go with the flow. I've given up struggling around the time I concieved an idea, and tehn someone wrote Rodney with a military father. Which was my idea. So just go with it and have some fun dear.

Yeah, I guess resistance is futile. I'm just proofreading the thing now.

It was almost cringe-worthy, his mechanical concern for Elizabeth. Yes! This was what I was having a hard time getting a bead on what was bugging me about John in this episode.

I keep going over to the Sci Fi Channel site to see the trailer.

After watching it a few time, I'll tentatively say no. It's kind of hard to tell though with the lighting and the angles. The clips are just way to short.

Though seeing the Wraith put his hand on John's chest scares the hell out of me each time!

I just want to see him get that sad look on his face whenever John goes off and -almost- gets himself killed.

I'm picturing him on a planet and instead of eating, he's eying up a chair, and Rodney's like - MEAT! LITTLE CAKE THINGS! WHY DON'T YOU CARE?? - and Ronon just grunts and goes - This is early Clorinzonia. See the gold overlay? The detail on the carved sovlin leaf?

Hee. Okay, I think I may have to write this now.

*giggle* Rodney with Carson was so cute, He's helpful! Carson wants him to go away! But Rodney knows what to do! It was almost like he was working exactly how he would with Radek, and Carson doesn't know how to deal with it. hehe so true!! but your right John has no chemistry with Elizabeth (he sounded too fake, through all of it, not like when he talks to Rodney :D)

Ronon the whittler! I read this and went to dinner, and half way through I rememberd it again and just sniggerd, my dad gave me a funny look

I'm pretty sure a robot would have more chemistry with Elizabeth than John does. It's almost funny :)

Do you know how odd it is that she ran into him!? There are a TON of antique stores in Vancouver! Everywhere (but there is one little section with some of the best) but still the fact that she actually found that one store that he was in is just. well its just down right lucky!

She is SO lucky. And apparently he was very nice to her and shook her hand, and it just makes me love him THAT MUCH MORE!
