:P I enjoyed the episode mostly because it had great John/Rodney moments. ;) But Weir being there on a first contact mission. *rolls eyes* I mean it's crazy enough two senior staff go out on missions all the time, but taking 3/4 of the senior staff on the same mission? :P
For me, honestly--I'd much rather see Sheppard in charge because I tend to disagree with Weir's more emotionally driven decisions most of the time. :P And I don't like the whole 'we can "talk" them down' kind of attitude she has in dangerous situations. Talking is not always the answer. But maybe, MAYBE if she were written better I'd like the character more.
But I would LOVE to see the other women on SGA like Teyla get some real, well written episodes. Ones where they're not in the background holding up the scenery.
I despise Carter. I kind of like Vala though at times her over the topness annoys me. But yeah...if we could have some kind of BALANCE to the female characters that would great. ::pokes the writers::
