How big are you talking, like how many people? Stadium size? pavilion size? Indoors, right?

I was thinking indoors only because of the weather, but it's pretty big. Multi-bandom big.

Allstate Arena. It's technically in Rosemont, but that's where the indoor stadium concerts are. Their website is here: http://www.allstatearena.com/ which should have details. If you use it and have any more questions, I've been there a billion times so feel free to ask. :D

If it's a benefit and free and in November, I'd say inside at the United Center, Allstate Arena, or Rosemont. All are large venues. Tell me more and I'll probably be able to give you better feedback. XD!

Heh, well, I need a place for this for, um, a huge concert basically. They do it every year as a benefit, as many bands as you can think of in as many different forms. I am hoping you'll be able to beta it for me when it's finished :)

Then I go with the comment above mine, Allstate Arena or United Center, definitely.

The United Center is where the Bulls and Blackhawks play. All huge concerts are held here, kind of on the edge of the ghetto.

The Allstate Arena is specifically for shows and concerts. It is connected(?) to the Rosemont convention center by a highrise walkway that is covered. It's equally as big.

Really, take your pick. Either/or are perfect for a mulit-band concert.

So yeah, either the UIC Pavilion (http://www.uofpp.uillinois.edu/UICimgs/UIC0638.htm), which is actually in Chicago, or the Allstate Arena (http://www.chicagorush.com/allstate.asp), which is about 30-40mins away from the city.
