Stargate Friday!!!

Let the Vancouver partying begin! Of course, we invited my mom, J's mom and g-mom over for dinner tomorrow so I basically have to clean all night since we live in a sty and smell like one, too, but YAY!

Also, we got the fence fixed finally so no more Moose out of the yard! Ellie can still get out, but that's pretty much because she can climb it, so unless we roof it or something, she always needs supervision. We put in a side yard, too, so we can have the dogs out and actually have grass in front of our house again - except now Roxy barks to get out of the side yard, so that might have been a mistake. Oh well.

castoffstarter has my Spencer-at-the-beach fic to beta, and it looks like I'm going to have to work on it a little bit more before posting, but it's another 15000 word fic, and seriously, how come most of my SGA's are barely half that? Weird. Although you all know I love writing about bands, so that might be the appeal.

I need to come up with an SGA premise so I can write Rodney again. Something that hasn't been done to death.

Um. Anything else? I don't think so. Oh, did anyone else watch Traveler last night? I had it on while I was dusting, so I missed some parts, but it was so intriguing! It'll probably end up stupid, but whatever. I actually didn't even know what the heck I was watching until the end when they showed scenes for next week. I got accidentally hooked!

I did watch Traveler last night! I'm worried it won't end up as intriguing as it has begun...but I'm hopeful.

I thought maybe I was watching like a CSI or law and order (cause they're everywhere) but when they kept just focusing on those guys I was like, what is this? It was so interesting! But yes, odds are it will just get stupid - who knows!

I was not optomistic while writing it, but now that Gina has her hands on it, I'm actually pretty excited about Spencer-at-the-beach. It's really a Spencer character piece - traumatic things happen and he becomes a hermit of sorts and I told Gina that I think it's the closest I've ever come to actually writing a Harlequin romance, except there is very little romance it it, so it's odd that way. Of course, she wants me to write more! And it killed me to get that much down, but she brought up some good points, so it looks like I'm going to be agonizing over it some more!

And yay, you can boy-check for me again! I could probably use both of you :)

J loves the eps that stick with the story arc, but I love these, that just kind of come out of no where, because they have to do stuff without the Ori! And they brought back that corn stuff, so hurrah for continuity!!

I loved Bounty because it was pure Vala. She was turning Cam's hometown upside down, and didn't even try hard. I think it's more fun making him groan than Daniel. She does it so well. And they brought back Cam's boyfriend. *grins* The Lucian Alliance leader guy, who acted like he wanted to ask Cam to prom but was all insecure and surly, so of course Cam would say no. How could anyone hate that?

And she just grinned, dressed like Mary Anne, frying every man's brain. Because seriously, damn she was hot in those. And then the dress...oh, yeah. And that one chick, the one that asked about her schooling, was so jealous she couldn't see straight. *grins* And she's right. Amy would be an insomnia cure.

And I wanna know how many times she's been married, too. Probably upwards of 10.

I know what hasn't been done, write a story in which Daniel visits, and Rodney and him switch geniuses. That would be interesting. :)

I would have watched Traveler but I was writing my research paper. Which was graded as I waited after the final... and I got an A- ! So I'm very happy I finished it.

(And while I'm talking about myself, I'm getting a Creme de la Creme award for my excellency in French.)
