See, I appreciated Weir, and can't fault the character for no growth since the writers can't write for shit when it comes to women. Just ask Rachel about Teyla. Sam annoys the hell out of me because hello, as you said, so not needed. I mean, WTF was she needed for in this episode?

she talked, she just asked questions and was in scenes which she totally wasn't needed. She's neither science nor a military leader, unless you count the athosians, which aren't even *there* anymore. I don't know, I think I'm just getting sick of her character, or at least sick of what they're doing with her!
