working for the weekend

I think this is the slowest I've ever written a fic without having writer's block. I'm around 40 pages in, and I'm thinking I'm only halfway done - so slow apparently means long for me.

Also, in case you didn't know, Kevin Jonas just got engaged. To someone other than Mike Carden! To a girl. My general feeling is: what the fuck? He's 21! He's a rock star! I blame the purity ring, seriously, he just wants to get some. On the other hand, he's still adorable and seems sweet so I wish him the very best.

My pup, Roxy, had acl surgery on her back left knee last Friday. She's drugged out of her mind to keep her calm, and it's so sad! But we cut back on her meds yesterday and she was soooooo hyper and she basically has to be immobile for 6 to 8 weeks, so she was a droopy puss this morning after her sedative. I just want to snuggle her. It's so weird being able to leash walk her, though, normally she just pulls me down. It's kind of nice!

I still have a TON of bbbs to read - I'm in a fast and furious mood again, and I'm re-reading fics because there's nothing new out there. Also, MERLIN! J is in love with the show now, too, so our Sundays are awesome.

That's all. I'm so boring.

MERLIN! unfortunately i've got a night shift this sun...so hopefully i can still watch it. Lancelot ep is on.
drugged up animals make me amused and a little disturbed at the same time. when one of the cats was drugged after an operation it was stumbling nd falling asleep all over the place.
he's 21 and engaged...i feel old all of a sudden :(

I just got home from a job interview at MODERN DOG MAGAZINE, the magazine of my dreams, and I don't know how badly I sucked, so I was all 'and now, it's time to curl up in bed and distract myself with some comfort reading-- I wonder if Skoosie has anything new since I left for my interview'.

Alas, you don't.

It's okay, though, there's a BBB I need to read! Also, incidently, this MASSIVE, EPIC, NON-BBB bandom story was posted in bandslashmania yesterday, I think? With PIRATES and stuff? And it's amazing, seriously, I am totally recommending it to you.

Seriously, part of my internship would be WALKING THE DOGS, because you BRING YOUR DOG TO WORK. There was a WEINER DOG sleeping on my FOOT during the interview, and a little mini pincher wandered in wearing an army flack jacket! It was like that story of yours where Kevin sits next to the BEAR. How was I meant to concentrate?! Gah. I despair.
