guys, okay, I am SERIOUSLY BORED with fandom, this is a tragedy!! How do I rekindle my love? I can't even write anything, it's just steadily getting WORSE. Maybe ask me questions about past fics? Any fics at all? Any fandom?? Whatever you want to know??

I'm also trying my hand at something original because starflowers is being encouraging and apparently I like writing pointless stories about kids in highschool, but who knows when I'll finish it, it's only about 13k words right now, and nothing has happened AT ALL.

Hi. I know that you don't know me at all, but I read this on my flist and thought "OH NO! Boredom! D:"

And then I thought: what about reading great new fic? I mean, there are some truly epic and wonderful things coming out of BBB right now. One that I can completely and thoroughly recommend is The Anatomy of a Fall (http://novembersmith.livejournal.com/41235.html) by novembersmith, and I have heard great things about several others (just have had no time to read any others yet).

IDK, I often find reading great fic to be inspiring, fandom-wise, so I thought that perhaps it might help shake your boredom.

ha, okay, well, I pictured Brendon having a lot of fun with Kris Allen, and his song with them is one of the ones they actually made a video for, and Kris was awesome about dressing up in funny outfits and they all had a blast with it! The song, Another Name for Francis, is, like, an homage to the texas chainsaw massacre movies, so the video was completely bloody and violent but sort of in this campy horror movie style - there are so many outtakes of them cracking each other up!

And Kevin and Spencer in The Story So Far - I kinda feel like Spencer's totally lonely when Kevin leaves, like he's really depressed about it, even though he'd never let it show, because Kevin's the only one (from where they're from) that completely accepted Spencer as *normal*. So him moving to wherever Kevin went was inevitable. Also, Spencer's been a little infatuated with Kevin ever since he bit him and Kevin actually still wanted to hang around with him anyway.

If it helps, fandom is only starting to really get me going by joining land comms. No. Really. I've been disenchanted with fandom (any of them!) for over a year.

But I enable you to write original fic. Especially if it's teenagerish. You've got the right voice and pacing to be a good Sweet Valley High/BSC type fluff. Something that's happy, even in psychopathy. ;)

original fic writing is fun! It took me a while to get into it, so the beginning sucks, but I love all my characters now - the main dude is sort of an endearing asshole :)

Land comms are basically sorting comms without the drama...or the sorting. You just put your preferences in order and land in whatever the mod picks. Kind of like in scifiland I'm an Anti-Hero but in fantasyverse I'm a Wizard. It's just a fun way to interact without pressure me. I'm not sure of the "official" definition. It's easier and less mind-numbingly thinky centered.

And I tried to write original fic before. I just kind of suck at it.

Spencer the vampire is completely loyal to Kevin, because Kevin's the only one who's ALWAYS treated him like he's normal like there's nothing really scary about him, even after he bit him! Creepy, but not scary :) And Spencer's so lost after Kevin leaves, even though he'd never show it, so he jumps on the chance to move closer to him.

I kind of feel like they tone it down a little when Bill leaves. They play on Bill's breaks, and Bill updates EMC with band reviews from around his college, so they're still together, because nobody wants to disband, and nobody wants to play without Bill either. But eventually they drift a little, because only Kevin and Brendon end up at the same college, but then Bill somehow finagles them some golden opportunities and Kevin and Brendon drop out of college and Miranda ends the term, but decides to take some time off - Bill's very convincing - and Patrick's been working instead of school, so they kind of drift back together again, and it's almost like starting over, because it's been, like, four years, but it's still awesome.

ha, I had to look that story over again to remember what I did with everyone, there's so many characters. Well, Butcher and Jon are both younger relations of Bill's. Butcher came first, at 11, and then Jon came a couple years later, lots of parents are dying here - I think they're all cousins or something, but Bill's the richest of the lot, so he agreed to take them in. Jon likes to wander, so he just picks up strays wherever he goes!!

I don't know anything about The Like at all, I should look into them.

I get the feeling that Mike will pretty much do anything for Kevin, he's pretty easy going about their relationship now, but Kevin totally puts his foot down, and Mike finds it really amusing and it's adorable - Mike goes to the awards show in nice pants and a t-shirt that says my boyfriend knows karate or something :)

I think Brendon and Ernie would be BFFs if they ever met! they'd cuddle a lot, and Brendon would give Ernie piggyback rides.

The Morning After show in The Perfect Man!! Well, that's Pete's brainchild, he created it for Patrick, because Patrick is a tiny music genius and Patrick tended to rant about bands and music styles and he'd get REALLY ANGRY and Pete thought it was HILARIOUS so he pitched a concept to.... I think they're on ABC, I forget details, but whatever channel Barbara Walters is on. And then they got Joe, because Joe is reasonable (except about Eddie Vedder) and Ashlee, because there's no way Pete or Patrick could actually HOST the show, Patrick would be too busy glaring and Pete... is Pete, plus he's not always in town, and Brendon loves everything, is always up for shenanigans with Pete, and can also drive Patrick into a rage without even really trying. Guest host Ballato antagonizes everyone. uhhhhh I think I went off topic and rambling there for a bit, sorry!
