This is my day so far
Dec. 9th, 2005 08:39 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
6:00am - call work, one hour late for snow (which means I don't have to go in, because today is the "holiday party" and the College closes at 11:30, and my dept is anti-social so we never go, so my boss was like - eh? why come in for an hour or two just to leave again?) so I go back to sleep.
7:30am - Maude scheduled for drop-off at vet for spay. Call vet. *is very lazy*
me: there's snow on the ground, will I make it by 8:30?
vet: well, if you get here late the dr can take others before her.
me: welllllll
vet: or we can reschedule for next week
me: make it so!!!
8:00am - wake up J to tell him we don't have to take Maude to vet cause of snow. He points out that there's only like, two inches of it, it's already raining on top of it, and we have a JEEP. Tell him to shut up.
8:15am - contemplate how bad a mum I am for starving my kitty for surgery and then not taking her, and making her do it all again next tuesday. Try and calculate Maude's age and panic about her going into heat in the next four days before her rescheduled appt.
8:30am - end up in front of 'puter, telling you fine folks how bad a mum I am.
Next on the agenda - decorating for Christmas! Which, come to think of it, would probably have been easier without a manically insane kitten running around. To give you an idea of her crazines: our stairwell is open to the top floor and carpeted underneath (because previous owner was some sort of swinger, I kid you not), and her thing is to take a running leap at them and then hang about upside down with her ears back. Plus, she likes to steal anything she can fit in her mouth and carry them back to her room. Fun stuff.

Date: 2005-12-09 07:34 am (UTC)Yes we need to decorate too. My mum is the sort who decorates a week before christmas just so the decorations are only up for two weeks. Evil women.

Date: 2005-12-09 09:24 am (UTC)I like having the decorations out for a while, since it always takes so long to get them put around. We have so much!!

Date: 2005-12-09 10:44 am (UTC)Maude is totally going to climb the tree. Aubrey does every year, and he hides in the branches and swipes at people who try to get him out. He also likes the taste of the treetop angel's hair so she's partially bald now.
Oh yeah, and if you can revive DT by Christmas, I will love you for the rest of my natural born life. No pressure, really ♥
I second this wish *smiles winningly*

Date: 2005-12-09 12:42 pm (UTC)The tree is going to be an experience. I just hope it doesn't end up falling :)
Oh, DT. I have no idea where that muse went. I'm still searching. Hopefully it'll be back soon.
