Seriously, Skoose, I'm not into Dom/Sub stuff, but really? This has absolutely no squickiness in it whatsoever.
The writing is brilliant, and masterful, and the story's just chock full'a GUH.

Yeah, that could work. Although, the bondage and Dom/Sub stuff are the alternates. And the thing I absolutely adore about the way it's all written in this story is that there's absolutely nothing done without consent, and it addresses how squicked out other people would be by the whole concept. Really explains how true Dom/Sub relationships should all be. I'm so not into D/S, but this story really deals with it in a so-not-squicky way for me. I looked at it as - this is something that defines the entire culture in the alternate Earth, and I took in the differences from a cultural stance. Because, really, the differences are very stark and odd to us, but perfectly normal to the alternate Sheppard and McKay. From their POV, we're the odd ones, with all of our suppression and weird obsessions and freaky notions about sexual relationships. *chuckle*
I honestly think you'll come away with a lot to think about and digest after this story. Hon, it's so worth you slogging through the squicky parts. I hope you're able to stick with it.
