hi everyone

thank you for all the well-wishing. you guys are the absolute best. J is home now. He had what the cardiologist called class one heart failure. Essentially, parts of his heart were spasming and shutting down, so while his heart should have been pumping at 60 percent, he was only at about 35. They went in and fixed some thinning of the arteries, but at least the parts of the heart that are working are in great condition. He has an atypical heart failure, because most people have clogged arteries, and he doesn't. Right now he's on medication and he's not allowed to have caffiene of any kind.
He's sort of prone to anxiety, so right now he's not doing too well on the relaxing front. He's sort of freaking himself out, so we're thinking he's going to have to get something to handle that. What a mess. Thank god he's out of the hospital, though. And I'm going back to work.

Date: 2007-01-18 11:59 pm (UTC)This may sound trivial, but playing video games always helps Andrew destress because they make him focus on the puzzles and things instead of the scary stuff. It might help, especially if J's on bed-rest or something similar.
*hugs to you both*
