I'm trying out this cross-posty thing. Can you import comments after you've already imported your comments? Does that make sense?

ANYWHO. Only 14 pages into Kevin/Mike NINJA highschool AU. I'm trying to do a month-by-month thing, so I've got September done and I'm in October, so I've got lots and lots left to write. Yes. Mostly I'm having fun making up band names and mixing and matching bandom folks - Pocket Thief! The Von Dangerfields! - and making them sing weird songs. Fun stuff.

Since I have nothing else going on, how's about we do a question thingy? Like y'all ask me whatever you want about any of my fics in any fandom and I'll try and answer coherently. Sound good? Let's play!

Hmmmm, I haven't actually thought about expanding that, but what I'd love to imagine is one of those awkward middle school dances where Brendon's all spazzy dancing by himself and Ryan keeps making funny eyes at all the girls and this one girl keeps asking Spencer to dance and Spencer just wants to be anywhere else, except he promised Ryan and Brendon he'd go. And Jon spends the whole night out in the parking lot with Tom, because Tom is SO COOL and he smokes and slouches like it's going out of style. And stuff.

omg, Brendon is SO EXCITED to see Jon and he hadn't known he was going to be there, on tour, because Robot Pete Wentz never told them EXACTLY when and how they were going to meet (and there's a lot of Jon Walker's in Chicago, he's a tough boy to find) and Brendon takes a flying leap at him even before Jon sees him, and Spencer hangs back and smiles a lot and Ryan pretends not to care at all even though his eyes are BEAMING and he maybe draws hearts in the margins of his notebook with Jon's name in them.

What were some of the reactions to Kevin & Mike once the confusion died down (Disney, parents, other bands what have you)?

Kevin/Mike!! they're meant to be!! Um, it's not a big deal with the parents, because they all knew already and they're really supportive because they've both got great families. Disney tries to make it a THING, like they want them at functions together and Disney parades and they want Mike up front and center at JoBros concerts so they can milk it from every angle and Mike's like FUCK THAT NOISE and refuses to do anything and Kevin's fine with that, even though it'd kind of be a LITTLE nice if Mike occasionally came to something JoBros Official, and so Mike surprises him at some special event and Kevin's so happy the camera's catch them kissing or something. And then Kevin spends a week on tour with TAI and it's adorable and Mike says, like, "so my boyfriend's on tour with us" on stage and Bill starts the whole "awwwww" that goes around the venue and everything and it's SO CUTE because Mike totally wears a Kevin face shirt (and Kevin totally wears a Mike face shirt on his JONAS show, it's awesome) and as for other bands, I think they all knew, except Pete keeps leaving Kevin weird messages on his voicemail and sending him links to fanfiction where Mike knocks him up or one or both of them get turned into girls.

oh man, um, what else, what else. How about when Bob Bryar meets Bonus? And they just stare at each other, kind of expressionless, and then after a few minutes Bob says something like, "they have sandwiches over in that tent," and Bonus just nods and they wander off together and spend the entire day just hanging out, chilling and being AWESOME and stuff. OR the time when Mike went to a Disney premiere with Kevin and Kevin was extra nervous and fidgety and Mike's like, "Kid, whatever, I don't have to come," all in his I'm-totally-not-hurt-by-your-shame-of-me voice and Kevin's like, "No, wait, my friends are so lame and you're so cool and they're totally going to embarrass me, omg!" and whatever, not in that voice, but more misunderstandings ensue. Hmmmm, that might be fun to really write.
