skoosiepantsAh, 2009. The year of the Twitter, and of my blossoming love for Mike Carden and Kevin Jonas. Weird times, people. Weird times.
1. Build Your House, Call Me Home - Bill and Gabe collect orphans. That is the entire point of this fic, it’s kind of adorable.
2. Adsorption - #7 in the Supersaturation ‘verse. Otherwise known as the fic that started the Mike/Kevin craze!
3. How not to eat a cat - The Frank-as-ALF fic; I don’t know how you can go wrong with suggesting that Frank wants to eat cats!
4. Saponificaton - #8 in the Supersaturation ‘verse; I had some trouble with all the freaking Alexes and Joes in this, but I loved the look at Gerard and Mikey.
5. Dancing Without Warning - so I wrote a lot of Mike/Kevin this year - A LOT - but this will always be my favorite. Faily boys trying to date, with misunderstandings galore.
6. Too Cool For School -or- Brian O’Connor: Undercover Hall Monitor - an extremely silly parody of the Fast and the Furious, I don’t even know, Vin Diesel is my favorite and I love everything that he does; yes, even The Pacifier.
7. A Handholding Song - the Hobo!Joe au. Gerard has a budgie. Gabe is Brendon’s stepbrother! Jon and Tom have a nature show! Ryan and Jon were TEEN ACTORS together, I think all the background stuff in this fic is my very favorite.
8. Dancing Goes All Night - tiny little coda to Dancing Without Warning, this is totally how Kevin would accidentally out them.
9. In The Movement - after Dancing Goes All Night, there are some problems with Mike’s wardrobe and dead, sociopathic eyes.
10. Gives Me The Butterflies - just a little iCarly fic, in which Freddie goes to college and gets weird. I kind of like it.
11. Bust Your Move - an au of JONAS. That show is unexpectedly hilarious, people, and it would be so so awesome if TAI actually were their (Nick’s) arch nemeses.
12. Revival - I was intrigued by Bill and Mike’s past. Which of course means I wrote another Mike/Kevin fic, only set in a small country town.
13. Never Needed It Now So Much - I still think this little high school au is completely hilarious. It proves I can still rock the fics that have a total of four characters featured in the entire thing, instead of naming every person ever in fandom.
14. NINJA - the fic that names every person ever in bandom, AI, Disney RPF, Nick, etc. This took me FOREVER to write, and I kind of love it. I probably had the most fun making up all the fake bands and all the EMC reviews.
15. Sometimes You’re Already There - Ghost Whisperer AU of ridiculousness. I don’t know why I keep killing Ryan off.
16. The Scene Isn’t What It’s Been - tour dating! Entire tours going on dates! This should happen in real life.
17. While Stumbling Where Our Hearts Beat Regular Time - it’s weird to think that I’ve never written any kind of werewolf or vampire au before. It was REALLY fun.
18. Some Kind of Magic - every once and a while I’ll try my hand at writing vague sex. I think this is my most successful try. Plus: fairies!
19. Start Where You Begin - I don’t know if this actually counts, since I wrote the bulk of it three years ago. A down-homey SGA au that doesn’t really go anywhere. I’m pretty in love with Daisy and George, though.
