A woman at the Acme last night told me that I reminded her of Ally Sheedy because of my "sparkling brown eyes." Huh. That's a first. I always get either Mariel or Margaux Hemingway, but I've never gotten Ally Sheedy before.

So, since I'm feeling sicky and am bored, I'm going to share some random facts about myself. Everything you never wanted to know! In return, I expect some random facts from you all. Don't hold back now *pokes you*

* I still know all the words to the Criss Cross Sprite commercial rap from God knows when... 80's? (To the, tick-tock get up, stop, you put the can in your hand and just pop the top...)

* In Highschool, I took voice lessons from Joan and John Cusack's first cousin, Margaret.

* I have slept, and will always sleep, with security blankies for my entire life (yes, I used them to ward off vampires; yes, I took them to college; yes, my boyfriend tries to steal them when I'm asleep. The bastard.)

* After sobbing my way through it once, I absolutely refuse to watch Harry and the Hendersons ever again. (Damn it, what stone-hearted person can watch that dry-eyed, when they're throwing things at him and telling him to go away and all he wants is to be loved?)

* When I was little, I used to collect earth worms. Lots and lots of earth worms. I made my friends collect them as well. I'd stuff them in pencil cases and picnic baskets.

Er... I think that's enough. Share away!

Hmmm let's see...

*I used to do the same amount of actions with my left hand as I did with my right, because I was worried it would feel left out.

*I used to be able to swim 50m underwater holding my breath.

* I like to sleep during the day, and stay awake at night, so I know that birds usually start making a noise at around 4:10am.

*I collect copies of Pride and Prejudice. I have 8 or 9 so far, including a 1920 copy somewhere.

*I love cherry flavoured stuff; lollypops, Dr. Pepper, sherbert, actual cherries...

That's all I can think of, it is 5:16 in the morning though :)

I admire your book fetish. Love books! And the reason for ambidextorousness (geez, is that even remotely close to a word?)... left hand feeling left out *grins*

I'll play!

* When I get scared (or upset), I run to a closet and stay there.

* I'm petrified of thunderstorms and curl up into a ball on my bed.

* I own 9 baby name books and not a baby in sight for me. I've been collecting them since I was 14.

* I took phenobarbital from 10 months to 6 years.

* From about 6 - 10 years old, I used to collect fiddler crabs and snails at low tide.

* I refuse to go in the ocean because jelltfish live there and they're evil beings. Also? Sharks swim around people in Myrtle Beach, and I don't wanna be near them either.

* The only room in the trailer where I lived with my parents with a lock was the bathroom. When I wanted privacy and to piss my older brother off, I used to go in and lock the door and sleep in the tub. The tub wouldn't be full. I would just lay there comfortable.

I got stung by a jellyfish in Hillton Head two years ago. Most painful thing EVER. Plus, my foot blew up and it itched like a mofo for weeks.

Ooh, my foot touched the top of one and I hailtailed it outta the sea and onto the sandbar. I haven't been in since. I did have to walk in muck (you know, the marsh) and got cut on an oyster shell. My heel is still rough there from like 11 years ago.

Yes, but eviiiil jellyfish still live there. *nods* And sharks. No thank you. The pool (if I were to ever again put my body in a bathing suit again, that is) is just fine for me. No icky critters in there.

I don't use public pools. I remember Whitewaters E.coli scare. Not aiming to gain that, thanks.

I agree with you on Harry and the Hendersons, this is also why I won't ever re-watch Dances w/ wolves, I own it, but it's still in the shrinkwrap.

*thinks*

*Growing up we had barbeque's once a month and my dad's good friend 'Jim Bob Walton', yes from the real Waltons, would play horse shoes with me.*

*I would kick my husband out of bed for Sean Connery, even though he's like 200 years old*

*I'm a comic book geek, or I used to be, until it got to be too expensive. I had standing orders in at the store in Myrtle Beach. I'd get about 10 -20 books a week.*

*When I was little Snuffeluppagus, from Sesame Street, scared me .*

*I shoplifted chewing gum twice when I was five and never got caught.* Mwahahaha (statute of limitations is wayyy over)

*I'm okay to go swimming in the ocean , until the theme from Jaws starts playing in my head,(which it always does) then I'm outa there.* ;)

hullo! it's yumizinha!
so...
* my middle name is actually 'yumi' but because that is japanese and my grandparents are japanese, but I'm brazilian. it really pisses me off when people think i write I'm 'yumi' just because I like to say I'm yummy (in the meaning of tasting good) or something.
* when I was six or seven I didn't talk to people in school so they pretty much thought I was a freak.
* I love eating fried potatos with vanilla ice cream from Mc Donalds. sooooo good!
* I want to own a ferret, but he wouldn't last long cause I already lost a turtle years ago due to lack of feeding, I guess.
*I can read 1880 words per minute and in three weeks i'll hopefully be reading 2000. full comprehension.
*Last sunday I went to the park to try and find some inspiration to write but all I got was a ant bite in my leg cause I sat under a tree.
there is more, but this would get too long...

Super impressed by the words per minute there. Wow.

And salty and sweet always make a good combination, I say. Delicious.

I always like eating something sweet with something salty. once I mixed ketchup with a little bit of orange juice and ate it with fried potatos. so weird and kind of disgusting. tastes good though.
and I'm taking dynamic reading lessons. really boring, but worth it. now i have time to read the newspaper in the morning.

Hmm... random facts... I can do that...

* I can make my eye-balls shake

* Whenever I write a card with gel-pens I smudge everything because I'm left-handed

* My online name is Poppi because, this one time, at band camp... well, actually it was at school and some rl friends and I were all giving each other names other than our own that we thought suited us. Mine was thought to be Poppi.

* I have this secret desire to flash my boobs/bra on top of the Eiffal Tower (spelling?)

* I used to try to form a 'Spice Girls' group in Primary school. I, nautrally, would have first dibs on being Posh, and everyone would have to audition.

That's enough, I might embarrass myself with other random facts about my old adoration of the Spice Girls.

Oh yes, I was a Spice Girls fangirl.

I think it was their platform shoes and non-existant dresses as opposed to any singing talent they might have had.

Those were the days. **laughs** I'd like to think my taste in music has matured a ickle bit.

I have to admit that their songs were catchy. And that I still have a cd of them somewhere. And that I watched the movie - although that was the worst movie in the history of movies. gah.

You know you'd still sing along if one of them ever came on the radio though *grins*

Do the random facts have to be in any way interesting? *thinks really hard*

*I used to have a serious Cardcaptors obsession

*My name Linz would make so much more sense if it was short for Lindsay but it's actually Alina

*All my pets are named after HP characters, but some of them are purely coincidental

*I can easily grasp really complicated concepts, but the simplest and most logical things are always beyond me...just what?

*Sometimes I am overcome with this fear of being in public and I can't leave the house or walk down the street alone. Don't know why. I'm not even a shy person *shrugs*

I think I held back on the weirdness, lol.

wee!

* I'm terrified of birds, all birds except for penguins, flamingo's and quail. Chickens are the scariest things in the world to me, it all started when I was chased by one when I was six... plus, when I was 10 we went to a place called 'bird world' ...

* I collected bears when I was younger, I always thought it was a gyp as my older sister collected fragile china dolls and I got stuffed bears.

* I get addicted to teen dramas so much that when Buffy was on my friends knew never to call me at 8pm on Tuesday nights... now they never call me on Wednesday nights at 9pm for Gilmore Girls...

* I can have long conversations with one of my friends that nobody else understands... most of the time we don't either. All it is is inside jokes and Buffy references.

* I have spent long periods of time debating with a friend about Harry Potter. (but then again, doesn't everyone?)

* I read OotP in 10 hours, only stopping for lunch.

* I read very fast, at least 2 books a day, but mostly because I tend to skip over words like 'and' and 'then' and just get the gist of paragraphs... it's odd.

That's about all I can find slightly interesting right now.

I meant to do this sooner, but ... meh.

Anyway, here it is and I posted it in my lj thinking it would be fun to see such a cute meme take off!

So, here you go - random facts about me that you never wanted to know. *g*

* The first apartment I lived in had hardly any furnishings, and I slept (with my fiance, now husband) on an air mattress. The couch was found in a dumpster outside a fraternity. We were sooooo poor and there was a recession. :D

* I cannot go cross-eyed and it makes me dizzy trying.

* I very musically challenged, and even though some of you know this, you do not know that it's so bad that when I was nine my friends kicked me out of our group doing a dance for the school talent show (to the song "Freak Out" and when I hear it *giggles* oh the memories of being ousted by my friends come pouring back).

* My first kiss was when I was seventeen with a guy I didn't even like because I felt so stupid not having kissed anyone yet and he was the first guy to try (I wasn't impressed either - just like Harry I thought it was wet). Teh boyz didn't like me in high school. *pouts* ;P

* I rearrange the dishes in the dishwasher whenever anyone else has put dishes in there. Don't hate me because I'm anal.

The dishes. Okay, my mom does that, too... and I've just started doing it, but I can't help it because my boyfriend just has no clue how to pile them in properly and just... yeah. Anal.
