snagged from [livejournal.com profile] luciademedici:

Go to one of my fics and pick a sentence or two (lucia's edit: substantial quotation that has context *g*) out from it. I'll try to guess which fic it's from. Anyone who can stump me gets to request a drabble in one of my existing universes, or post a pic (or prompt) and I'll write a drabble about it.

I totally suck at request drabbles 'cause I never even finished the last batch y'all gave me, so let's hope I don't get stumped :) Have at it!

Bwhahaha!! That's very true. There aren't many fic where Carson is portrayed all that well. But I totally blame canon. ;) I mean I love Carson, but they've made him weepy like a girl, morally suspect, rather boring...so as much as I'd like to blame the fic writers I think it's definitely the actual show writers that have ruined him. ;)

True enough, but isn't fic supposedly you know....be *creative* at some point and fix what people don't like? I mean, you have a little canon intregrity. I mean canon's sixty minutes, counting commerical breaks. I mean...oh, hell, I just give up. I just wish people would put "If you have a brain, please avoid. Thank you" somewhere.

*snickers* It IS supposed to be that, but it doesn't always work out that way. ;) I think people are distracted by all the hotness of John and Rodney naked and having sex with each to pay as close attention to Carson. ::nods:: ;)

I think people are distracted

But, but..if all else fails, Gateworld. Or rewind the episodes if they're there. Or find a fan. Oh crap. I'm using Earth Logic again. Gotta stop doing that.

And I say this as a "Come on, people. Show some romance, as long as it's not Lucien...Lucius...Whatever the hell that nasty bug's name was" romance fan. Ah, and no Sheppard/Weir or Sheppard/Teyla, because, really. The fans would rival Buffy fandoms (no one can top Harry/Hermione or Harry/Ginny fans ever).

*snort* :P But the pretty nakedness! @_@

*snickers* Shep/Weir and Shep/Teyla are about as...interesting as Rodney/Weir Rodney/Teyla ;)

Well, Shep/Weir is a weird doomed to fail because of Power Issues and Shep/Teyla wouldn't work because she'd get tired of his lack of communications combined with immaturity.

At least McKay is you know...the same as Shep. Works for me. Birds of a feather.

John, a dork? Never. You're pulling my leg. And Rodney certainly wouldn't be attracted to someone if they were. *looks around* Nope.

I'm gonna have to go with the boys ;)

But he's just so squishy, and I can give him to Weir! And he's just so cuddly and cute with the squishy Czech when annoyed. John and Rodney don't go other language when upset, and I'm not counting Rodney's geek speak.

There's the difference. *grins* I'd like to toss Weir off the highest tower in Atlantis ::whistles::

I adore Radek, and he's very cute when frustrated ;) but his crush on Weir makes him less interesting. ;)

See, I like Weir, pretty much. At least since she's started to get little harsher with Earth. And the crush is cute to me because the only base reverts back to high school when they have them.

*snerk* I think I'd like her a lot more if they hadn't started this whole John/Weir confidants thing. It just doesn't work for me. I can see her being like that with like Kate or maybe even Teyla but there's so much friction as to who is honestly in charge--at least I think (though the writers are trying to make it seem like John is all submissive to Weir's decisions :P ) that I can't see them being like that. I see them very much in a professional capacity and that's about it. If they had Weir interacting with other people...like Radek and Teyla and Kate--even Ronon or Lorne--I think I might like her more.

I think I'd like her more if she had her own group of friends, too. Like her own little teeny pack. Maybe Radek, Carson, and Lorne. Cadman occasionally for the girl element, but I don't know how much they'd get along. Kate would be good, I think. The Weir/Sheppard moments are a bit weird at times, if they're misplaced, but in some ways I can see them sharing. They're both the leaders, more than anyone else. She's the one that does the giving orders (general and specific) and he's the one that has to do the military giving orders. I think the more honest moments were John and Elizabeth having control friction. They would butt heads.

I agree. She seemed very separate from everyone the first like year and a half and then suddenly its like they're trying to make it seem like her and John are best friends. :P An ocassional moment is fine, makes sense, but this whole bonding moment in like every second episode...ending with them having a heart to heart? *rolls eyes*

I'd LOVE to see some interaction between her and the non-John members of this expedition. :P I mean yeah she's the leader and John's head military but Rodney's head scientist, Carson head doctor, Teyla is the leader of her people and basically a liason for the Athosians and Lanteans...they're command staff--she should have just as close a relationship with them as with John, I think. Because they all have orders to give in various forms and they all have the stress of being in situations where they're responsible for everyone under them....

And yeah, those moments where they argued over command decisions were much more honest than these moments where John's all 'I stand behind all Elizabeth's decisions 100%'. *snerk* Especially since he really, really doesn't. ;)

LOL! I like TORRI :P but Elizabeth...they need to really do a revamp of the character because as she is now. ::shakes head:: I feel bad for Torri having to be so damn stiff and dull when she seems like so much fun.

Well, I guess I meant that I like her because I think Torri wants her to have a more important bit too. That was the impression I got when people asked questions about her. Then again, she's got me as a fangirl cause after about the 3rd time I heard Davis say something about how much Sci Fi Channel sucks (go him, seriously. I fangirled EVERYONE after this weekend) she was clapping along with him. *snort* And that's who runs her show.

Wouldn't you love to see Elizabeth go off on Team Sheppard, and really lay it on that contrary to popular opinion, she is in fact the one in charge? I would love to see her do that, just once.

LOL! I wouldn't mind them making her a more interesting character but no, I definitely don't want her on Team Shep. :P I'd be more interested in seeing her doing her job on Atlantis, ACTUALLY doing her job on Atlantis instead of them trying to come up for weird off-world reasons for her to be around. Like Flanigan has said--they have a whole city to explore! They could totally be doing more on Atlantis eppies because Weir off world makes no sense. That's like Hammond going off on a jaunt whenever he felt like it. :P

Oh, no. I meant yelling at them, especially John and Rodney, letting know that she knows that they manipulate her, but that's *her* decision, not theirs. That kind of thing. Being a leader that doesn't lay down whenever the boys have an incredibly STUPID idea (and they've had some whoppers). I want her to remind them that she's in charge, and prior to the brain fart, could rule anything. I mean, I saw the episode with the System Lords. Where's that Weir at exactly?

LOL! Well honestly she's had some pretty horrifying ideas herself. ;) But it'd be nice yeah if it didn't feel like a big playground where she's pretending to be the head of the expedition team but not actually showing that she deserves said position.
